Blatz beer ad featuring Milwaukee racer Myron Fohr. - 1950
Fohr was born in Milwaukee in 1912 and died in the city in 1994.
In 1948, he won twice on the AAA circuit (modern day IndyCar) at Milwaukee and Springfield. In 1949, he again won twice, at Milwaukee and Trenton. All his wins came aboard Marchese-run machines, made in Milwaukee.
After a dreadful 1950 season, he retired in 1951 after failing to qualify at Indianapolis and Milwaukee aboard lesser machines.
Fohr made the Indianapolis 500 on two occasions, in 1949 and 1950, finishing 4th and 11th.
